Hello, Latte Learners!
This month, let’s talk about something near and dear to my heart—refreshing spaces, both physical and digital. I like to compare our website refreshes to giving a room a quick makeover, using a practice I absolutely love: feng shui.
What is Feng Shui?
Feng Shui is the ancient practice of arranging your living or workspace to create balance and harmony with the natural world. The idea is to harness the energy forces around you and arrange things in a way that fosters positive energy and flow. I’m a huge fan of it in my own home—just ask my husband! 😉
Why This Matters for Your Website
Just like a room that feels cluttered or outdated, your website can start to feel a bit off if it’s left stagnant for too long. In feng shui, balance and energy flow are key, and the same principle applies to your website.
A Full Redesign Isn’t Always Necessary
Here’s the good news—sometimes you don’t need a complete overhaul. Just like adding a new piece of furniture or swapping out a pillow can give a room an instant refresh, your website can benefit from smaller, targeted changes. With just a few thoughtful tweaks, we can breathe new life into your site, giving it a more modern feel without the stress and cost of a full redesign.
The Benefits of a Website Refresh:
- Reflect Your Current Goals: Your website should mirror your brand’s vision and objectives as they evolve. If your goals have shifted, your site should reflect that.
- Fresh Content: Outdated content can make your site feel stale. A quick refresh gives you the chance to showcase new offers, products, or services.
- Customer Personas: As your audience changes, so should your website. Small changes can ensure you’re connecting with your target customer in the most effective way.
A Real Case Study – Our client FunCycled
In just 10-15 hours, we helped FunCycled elevate their home page and a couple interior pages to reflect their growth, align with their evolving goals, and stay true to their brand’s essence. It was a quick refresh that made a huge difference in how they connect with their clients online.

We had the absolute pleasure of working with FunCycled, a custom interior design, kitchen cabinet painting powerhouse that’s all about sustainable, stylish transformations. When they came to us for a website refresh, we jumped at the chance to help improve their website.
With just 10-15 hours of focused work, we revamped their site to better showcase their stunning designs, streamline navigation, and ensure it was fully responsive across all devices.
The result? A more modern, cohesive, and engaging website that perfectly reflects the creativity and energy FunCycled brings to every space. Feng Shui-Inspired Latte Recipe: The Harmony Blend
Ingredients:
- 1 tsp matcha powder (for balance and energy)
- 1 shot of espresso (for grounding and focus)
- 1 cup steamed milk (for warmth and comfort)
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (for sweetness and flow)
- A pinch of cinnamon (for a grounding touch)
- Optional: a few drops of vanilla extract (for a calming, uplifting aroma)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Matcha: In a small bowl, sift 1 tsp of matcha powder to avoid any lumps. Add a splash of hot water (about 2 tbsp) and whisk briskly until smooth and frothy.
- Brew the Espresso: While the matcha is coming together, brew a fresh shot of espresso. The rich, deep flavor provides the grounding force in this latte.
- Steam the Milk: Steam your milk to your preferred temperature (around 150°F) using a milk frother or steam wand. If you prefer dairy-free, oat milk works beautifully here!
- Combine the Elements: In your favorite mug, combine the shot of espresso with the matcha mix. Stir gently to blend the two.
- Sweeten & Spice: Add 1 tsp of honey (or maple syrup) for a touch of sweetness and a pinch of cinnamon to bring in warmth and balance. Optionally, add a drop of vanilla for extra serenity.
- Pour the Milk: Slowly pour the steamed milk into the mug, swirling gently to create a smooth and balanced texture.
- Finish & Enjoy: Top with a light dusting of cinnamon or matcha powder for a visual touch of calm.
Latte cheers! ☕
