Welcome to Latte Learning, where every Wednesday I’ll brew up the perfect blend of website knowledge and lattes to power your day!

It’s August already and summer is about to be over! The start of fall brings lots of changes besides the change of leaves comes business shifts, and it seems for most companies a laser focus on getting things done and starting new projects. This newsletter is designed to be your guide, offering insights into the latest website trends, tips, and a few behind-the-scenes tidbits.

This week’s focus is all about website design and lattes. Sharing my two loves with you all!

Website design and latte making are more similar than you might think:

  1. Attention to Detail: Just as a barista carefully crafts latte art to create a visually appealing drink, web designers thoughtfully arrange elements on a page to ensure an aesthetically pleasing user experience.
  2. User Experience: Both involve considering the end-user’s experience. In latte making, it’s about the taste and presentation of the coffee. In web design, it’s about how users interact with and navigate the site.
  3. Balance and Harmony: Achieving balance is crucial in both fields. A well-made latte balances flavors and textures, while a well-designed website balances visuals, text, and functionality.
  4. Creativity: Both require a creative touch. Latte art is a form of visual creativity, while web design involves creative solutions to layout, color schemes, and user interfaces.
  5. Consistency: Just as a barista aims to consistently produce high-quality lattes, web designers strive for consistency in design elements to create a cohesive and professional look across a website.
  6. Functionality: A latte needs to taste great and be served at the right temperature, just as a website needs to be functional, with intuitive navigation and quick loading times.

WordPress Workshops and Fall Availability

I’ve been diving into teaching lately, and it turns out I really enjoy it! Education runs deep in my family—both my parents are teachers.
