Each day until New Years Eve, we’ll be taking a line from our upcoming jingle and turning it into a short post, like this one titled “Does It Break On a Phone?”
If your website “breaks” on mobile, it usually shows up as tiny text, cramped buttons, layouts sliding off-screen, or features that simply do not work.
That matters because mobile is where most people are. As of May 2025, mobile devices account for about 64.35% of all website traffic.
User patience is low on mobile. Google has reported that 48% of users feel frustrated and annoyed when they land on a site that is not mobile-friendly, and 36% feel they have wasted their time on those sites.
Mobile also matters for search visibility. Google uses the mobile version of your content for indexing and ranking (mobile-first indexing).
