A Lens for the Lens

Photographer To The Photographer

Betty was photographing Sage in an Old Hollywood style session. Classic, intentional, dramatic, and elegant without feeling forced.

Capturing around the moment

We photographed and recorded the process from start to finish. Before, during, and after. We stayed out of the way while still being present. We captured the small interactions, the concentration, the transitions, and the energy in the room as the look came together.

To dial in lighting and framing, Reina stepped in as a test subject while Tony stayed behind the camera recording and adjusting. It was collaborative, relaxed, and unhurried. No pressure. No rushing. Just getting it right.

A first for Betty

This was the first time Betty had someone document her process like this. Being on the other side of the lens can feel strange, even for someone who lives behind it.

Our priority was to make her feel comfortable. We slowed things down. We talked. We laughed. We let moments breathe. By the end, we had everything we planned for and then some. More content, more options, more flexibility for how this material will be used across social media, templates, a promo video, and her website.

..But not a last

We loved the experience so much that we will be working with Betty Jane Photography again for our own photo revamp in January 2026. So be prepared to see new photos of us.

This shoot was a reminder that great work happens when everyone feels seen, supported, and un-rushed. Betty’s talent speaks for itself. Our job was to amplify it without getting in the way.
